Does Your Dog Bark?

Listening to a dog bark can become quite annoying at times. There are some considerations to think about when trying to curb this behavior.

The first is to never give a reward for barking. You need to teach your dog that barking is not an effective communication tool. If your pet keeps barking do not give him attention until he stops. This means that you do not talk to him, touch of, looking at him, or feed him.

Teach your dog the “enough” command. When your dog begins to bark, break his attention and say to him firmly “quiet”. The moment that he stops his barking, make a huge deal out of it and give him a treat.

Remember that barking is a natural behavior. It is unrealistic to think that your dog should never bark. You have to allow him to be able to vent. Let him get out a few barks, and then you can quiet him. A dog bark can be a positive thing as long as it is not excessive.

Keep Your Dog Safe With EzyDog Dog Life Jackets

EzyDog is committed to helping you and your pet get out and enjoy playtime! The dog life vests that they manufacture are designed to offer a superior fit, comfort, and safety so you can spend more time having fun in the water and less time concerned about your dog.

The innovative design of this dog flotation vest is one of the safest on the market. If used properly it helps to ensure your pet’s safety. It consists of plenty of flotation material, adjustable neoprene straps to help form a quick and ergonomic fit, durable materials to help provide years of ready and rough performance, and a sturdy D ring on the top of the life vest for attaching to a dog leash.

Getting the right size dog flotation device for your pet is very important. If the lifejacket on your dog is sized incorrectly, it will not be an effective flotation device; it could even prove to be dangerous. A large jacket on a small dog can easily fall off. This can make it quite hazardous for your dog in the water and is not a very effective safety tool. If the jacket is too small for a large dog, it can be uncomfortable and might not have enough material in it to keep your dog afloat.

These dog life jackets are reliable, safe, strong, durable, adjustable, colorful, and very buoyant. Take a look at these dog life jackets today!

Which Nylabone Is Right For Your Dog?

Nylabone products have been a well known recognized brand in the pet industry since 1955.  They produce premium dog products that focus on healthy chewing.  The big question is, with all the different products to pick from, which one is best for your pet?

Nylabone is a great alternative to real bones and rawhide. The chews come in different hardness. If you have a puppy that is just teething and developing their adult teeth, it is suggested that you chose a Gumabone chew.  They are softer and will give when chewed so your pet can massage their teeth and gums with no fear of creating any kind of fractures to their baby teeth, and growing adult teeth.

When your dogs’ teeth develop into strong adult teeth, the common chew is the Durachew.  These are a harder consistency that gives your pet more chewing time.  As they chew, little pieces shave off. They may swallow some of the pieces.  That is okay as long as they do not swallow too much, if they do, some dogs may throw-up or have diarrhea.

If your pet is a very aggressive chewer you may want to get the Galileo chews that are harder and made for more aggressive chewers.

All the dental chews are great for helping wear down tartar on your dogs’ teeth which helps reduce plaque build up.

As with all pet products, please supervise your dog while they are chewing on Nylabones.  Some dogs may try to chew off bigger pieces, or they chew it down quickly beyond the safe point of the bone. You need to be sure you are there to take the bone away if you need to. Nylabone Puppy Chew Toy Starter Kit Nylabone Dura Chew Value Pack, Regular Nylabone Galileo Bone Dog Chew Toy, Souper

The question is what can you use to clean with that works well? There are so many products out there that offer success, finding which ones really work can be a lot of trial and error.
